We are truly grateful that we chose Metropolitan Crematorium during such a painful and overwhelming time in our lives. Mr. Timothy Cunningham provided a level of compassion, patience, and professionalism that brought comfort when we needed it most. He guided us with kindness, answered every question with care, and treated our loved one with the dignity and respect every family hopes for. In the midst of our grief, he made us feel supported, understood, and never rushed. We will always remember the grace he showed our family, and we are deeply thankful for the service he provided.

Tim Cunningham was a great person . He handle my husband's cremation process. He was very informative and very knowledgeable.Even though it was a sad process he made us feel comfortable. I strongly recommend his business. Thank you

In anticipation of my mother's passing, I walked in, not knowing that typically appointments are made. The earliest time available was later that afternoon,. Mr. Timothy overheard the conversation, stopped what he was doing, came out of his office and met with me on the spot. The day my mother passed, the staff member who prepared and transported my mother was so very kind. I was shown such support and caring during one of the most difficult times of my life. I am so appreciative of the service provided to me. I will forever be grateful for Mr. Timothy and all the staff. I am so glad that the community has this facility.

I will begin by saying that God sent us to this place. My father recently passed away but prior to his passing he was on Hospice care. We contacted metropolitan Crematorium in order to make sure we had plans in place for when my father passed. Upon speaking with the organization we spoke with Tim C., who was extremely tender and kind which is what we needed in these hard moments. Every moment of interaction with Mr. Cunningham was assuring and helpful. Mr. Cunningham also assisted with getting additional information about military resources. This organization will have our business in the future. If you are unsure about finding a place that doesn't take advantage of your pain and circumstance I highly recommend Metropolitan Crematorium.

My brother-in-law passed away on Sunday night, November 16th, 2025. On Monday morning, November 17th, I reached out to five crematoriums to compare costs and services. Tim Cunningham returned my call within thirty minutes, and we scheduled a consultation meeting for that afternoon! Tim is not only an expert in this field but also kind, empathetic, and personable; He never once tried to convince me to select a package that was not financially feasible. His cremation packages are far below any of the others that I had researched. Within an hour, the paperwork was signed, I paid for the services, provided him with the obituary that I had written, and the process was complete. He contacted me the next day to tell me that one of his employees was on his way to Raleigh to pick up my brother-in-law's body. He sent me a copy of the obituary once it had been posted. Without reservations, I would highly recommend Metropolitan Crematorium and Tim Cunningham to anyone in need of these services. Tim, you are a shining light during some very dark and uncertain times. I am so pleased that I chose Metropolitan Crematorium. Mr. Timothy Cunningham provided AMAZING service and patience during this difficult time for my family. I was scheduled to meet with other places and knew that I didn't need to go any further after speaking with Mr. Cunningham. He answered all of my questions and explained everything about the process to me. Dealing with the loss of a loved is not easy, it helps when you find a place like Metropolitan Crematorium and its staff, they are rare gems.

I just wanted to share how absolutely amazing this place was! Tim, went above and beyond to help my family during a really tough time, and we're all so incredibly thankful for his kindness and support. We were grieving, and he made a truly difficult situation so much easier to handle. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. Where can I start? The entire process dealing with Tim Cunningham was stellar and exceeded any expectations that I could have ever imagined. From the appointment setup, all the way the the closing out of everything Tim made everything seamless, painless and his demeanor and several years of expertise in this field made us feel at ease. There were never too many questions, any "dumb" questions, or anything that would make us feel like we were getting on his nerves. His timely responses helped us do the things that we needed to do on our end to ensure and proper send-off for my mother. When a slight hiccup arrived (out of their control), they did everything in their power to provide accommodations and comfort while we had to make a slight pivot. He ended up upgrading the casket for the service as well as gave us the bigger room than we initially agreed on. Everything worked out so beautifully and I couldn't be more happy with the way everything turned out. I would definitely recommend Metropolitan Crematorium and Cunningham Funeral home to anyone local looking for services for you passed on loved one.
